Right then. Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m a gamer and a writer, in roughly that order, depending on the day.
I play Dungeons & Dragons with friends every few weeks, and I’m terrible at it. I can never remember what attacks I’ve got, so when my turn comes round I usually panic and go “erm… use knife.” It’s become a running joke, much to my party’s displeasure. One day I’ll read my character sheet. Probably.
I also write stories, mostly because I get bored. I even got one printed! Sounds impressive, doesn’t it? Well… it was self-published, I got five copies made, and I couldn’t even give them away. Shame it wasn’t printed on toilet paper, really. I’d have made a fortune during lockdown. (Remember lockdown? The time the whole country got grounded because we couldn’t follow instructions? Yeah. Let’s not.)
So yes, I’m British, and that’s all I’m giving you. I won’t be using my name on here because I’d like to stay completely anonymouse. (I hope that’s spelled right, otherwise you’ll think I’m an actual mouse in a V for Vendetta mask.)
When I’m not gaming or writing, I like a bit of urbexing, but to the weirder places. Think nuclear reactor in Ukraine weird. I take some lovely photographs, and I cuddle every dog I meet. I love dogs. I’m also allergic to them. Sad times.
I also have a soft spot for charity shops. Head straight for the DVD section and every so often I’ll find an old PC game hiding in there. My best find so far is Return to Castle Wolfenstein for two euros. What a game.
So what’s going on here?
- Games: mostly retro, with the odd modern one
- Tech: my kit and builds
- Photography: from my travels and explorations
- D&D: campaign tales, and probably more knife-related failures
- Stories: including my book, which I’ll post chapter by chapter
Let’s see how this goes, eh?
Anyway, that’s me signing off for tonight. Bye for now.
